songcast:invisible solid storm force

invisible solid storm force v4

I bought Renoise to get back to my old 80386 ScreamTracker days. My friend Jim Furey and I used to rock a mean pattern editor and sample list back in the day. Renoise is like those good old days, but about 10 times better with multiple instrument sequencing per-track and VST effect support. It’s pretty sweet for a tracker, and beings as my retention of music notation is basically nil from junior and high school, using a tracker to make my so called music seems to feel more comfortable.

Invisible solid storm force is a piece of music to get my feet wet again with new music tools. I’m using Renoise, Audacity, Apple Soundtrack Loop utility, and Logic Express. I also used Automator to thoroughly yoink all the audio samples I could see from a NASA website. Thanks, NASA! I figure that’s my tax dollars at work… I doubt I’ll ever make money off this album, so … I’m feeling good about my karma using those almost 10 year old research audio clips.
